Sewing up a Storm in Lompoc

No pictures, but I'm in Lompoc with Becky and we are having a wonderful time sewing, gabbing, shopping and munching. We have both accomplished quite a bit of sewing and we will head over to Ontario tomorrow to meet up with Kathy B. and Kat for the Road to California show.

The pieced blocks of the baby quilt are done as are nine of the redwork blocks. Three rows are sewed together and I'll probably make my goal of finishing the top by the end of of the month.

Becky is checking out "The Quilter's Path," a small publication that advertises all of the quilt shops in California and planning our route as we speak!!

Good fun!

I love Alexander's quilt! Yesterday I found the quilt in the Fons and Porter magazine and just loved it. I've been looking for a pattern for our yet unborn grandson and knew this was the one as soon as I saw it. Your's it beautifully done...love the embrodidered centers!

I heard a rumor that alla y'all met Fran a few times during the show! Oh, yeah, we've used that booklet before. In fact, we've saved old ones because of notes scribbled all over on how to get there!

Sounds like you had a great time with Becky.
